Bramaram - Blessy with Mohanlal

Blessy and Mohanlal are teaming up again in Bhramaram after Thanmathra which won five Kerala state film awards (Best Film, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Screenplay and a special mention for actor Arjun Lal), 

Mohanlal will don the role of a jeep driver plying through the high ranges of Kerala. Kochi, Monnaar, Nelliyambathi, Coimbatore, Marayoor and Pollachi are the locations. 

The film was first announced as Kanal and then as Bheemam.

Popular Tamil-Telugu-Hindi actress Bhumika Chawla is Mohanlal’s heroine in Bramaram.

Lakshmi Gopalaswami has important role along with Murali, son of late National award winning actor Bharath Gopi. The cast will also include Suresh Menon, Madan Babu, and Baby Nivedhitha along with other actors.

After 20 years, noted cameraman Ajay Vincent, son of director Vincent, is making a comeback to Malayalam with this film, which is expected to be completed in one schedule. Ajay Vincent is now one of the most successful cinematographer in Telgu. He is doing this film because the banner is same as that of ‘Namukku Paarkkan Munthiri Thoppukal’.

Songs are by Anil Panachooran and tuned by Mohan Sithara.

Blessy began his career as an independent director with the Mammootty starrer Kazhacha, which turned to be a huge hit, winning almost all the prestigious awards in Kerala.

After Thanmathra Blessy wrote and directed Palunku. Mammootty said it is one of his 10 best characters in his film career. 

His last venture was the Dileep starrer Calcutta News (2008), which crashed down at box office. It also had no entertainment values what so ever. 

Mohanlal has joined film’s crew after completing Sagar alias Jackie - Reloaded by director Amal Neerad.

Bhramaram is produced by Raju Mallyath under the banner of Ragam Movies. 
The film is distributed by Max Lab Entertainments. Bhramaram will be Mohanlal’s summer vacation release.
